Nationally Prominent Hospital and Healthcare Executive to Lead Paladin Healthcare Management Division

June 28, 2016 (El Segundo, CA) – Paladin Healthcare today announced that Barry A.Wolfman has been appointed President of Paladin Healthcare Management. Wolfman will assume the new role on July 1, 2016. Wolfman, who has hospital leadership roots in Southern California, joins Paladin Healthcare from his most recent 4-year tenure as Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director at the historic 385-bed George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC where he led an expansion of services initiative to meet the complex needs of the community.

Wolfman will draw from his numerous industry recognized successes leading health systems in diverse communities, on both the East and West coast, to enhance Paladin Healthcare’s ability to manage and own hospitals in under represented and disadvantaged communities nationwide.

Wolfman has enjoyed a stellar three-decade national career in healthcare management, including diverse roles in Washington, DC, Nashville, South Florida, Philadelphia, and California. He garnered his executive experience in a variety of settings –investor-owned National Medical Enterprises (now Tenet Healthcare), faith-based Providence Health & Services, and the pre-paid side of medicine at Kaiser Permanente.

Before his most recent position at George Washington University Hospital, Wolfman was with Providence Health and Services as Chief Executive at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California. Prior to that Wolfman served a dual role as Senior Vice President and Executive Director for two Southern California Kaiser Permanente communities, where he was responsible for partnering with the Permanente Medical Groups to oversee the care for more than 400,000 members.Wolfman also worked in various capacities with Tenet Healthcare for more than 20 years.

Wolfman holds a Master’s of Health Services Administration degree from The George Washington University. He also holds a Bachelor’s of Science Management degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and completed the Kenan-Flager Business School Advanced Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina.
