February 29, 2016 (Los Angeles, CA) – Paladin Healthcare Capital President Joel Freedman announced new hires and promotions following the company’s annual retreat this past weekend. Today, Freedman named Mike Rembis, Senior Managing Director of the health private equity firm.  Rembis, a twenty plus year veteran in health and health care, will also remain the Corporate Chief Executive Officer of Avanti Hospitals in Los Angeles.  He is also responsible for oversight at Howard University Hospital at historic Howard University in Washington, DC.   Additionally, Freedman welcomed Brandon Garrett, a DC political veteran and health policy advisor to Paladin as Managing Director of Business Development.  Garrett, who most recently served as Chief of Staff to Chicagoland Congresswoman Robin Kelly, also worked as policy and political advisor to Vice President Joe Biden, policy director for the Congressional Black Caucus and the Executive Director the Congressional Black Caucus Health Braintrust.
